Adjust machinery accurately and precisely with this shim kit from SKF. The high-quality, single-slot shims are pre-cut for convenience and constructed from hard-wearing stainless steel. Their metal make-up greatly reduces the chance of corrosion and rusting and gives the shims reliable resistance to heat and impact for an extended service life. The components are easy to fit and remove and feature high tolerances for exacting accuracy. This set consists of different size shims with 10 levels of thickness to suit most industrial machinery and equipment.

  • Thickness clearly marked on each shim for quick and easy identification of the size you need
  • Fully deburred for improved safety and to prevent operators from cutting themselves on sharp edges
  • Supplied in a durable case that's convenient to carry and keeps the shims neatly organised

Applications

  • New machinery commissioning
  • Tool and die applications
  • Industrial machine alignment

What are stainless-steel shims used for?

Stainless-steel shims are typically used to fill gaps between moving machine parts in order to keep components properly aligned. This helps to prevent excessive wear when machinery is in use.
