This Seiko Prospex Speedtimer has been created to commemorate the 2025 Tokyo World Athletics Championships where Seiko will be Official Timekeepers, continuing the brand’s heritage of watchmaking and timekeeping.The dial of this Seiko Prospex Speedtimer is the official brand colour of the championships. ‘Edo-Murasaki’, meaning Tokyo Purple, is one of Japan’s official traditional heritage colours – originally from a textile dye using purple grass native to Musashino during the period when Tokyo was known as Edo.The caseback of the Prospex Speedtimer features the World Athletics Championship Tokyo 2025 logo, and the limited edition number. This solar powered chronograph watch is conveniently charged from both natural and electric light and its chronograph functionality allows for the accurate measurement of elapsed time.
