Got a shaft that's difficult to align with its housing, or that's liable to bend during operation? This ball bearing from SKF is ideal to use in this situation, as it's not affected by the angular misalignment that can be caused by shaft deflection. Because it's self-aligning, it generates a minimal amount of friction during operation and remains cool even at high speeds. A bearing such as this one will give you a long service life in applications with a light axial load.

  • Open end type allows for straightforward relubrication
  • Tapered bore type enables the transfer of a load evenly while rolling
  • Inside diameter of 120 mm and outside diameter of 215 mm, which are displaced relative to each other to accommodate combined loads

Application information

  • Rotating machinery, such as stirrers and blenders
  • Fans and blowers
  • Intermediate shafts in vehicles

How do I mount a self-aligning bearing with a tapered bore?

Screw up the lock nut to the end of the indicated range. Remove the lock nut, then place the washer by securing the nut back on the sleeve. Bend one of the lock washer tabs into a matching slot on the nut.
