The AFT40A Room Thermostat is a heavy-duty, flameproof EXHEAT Industrial Thermostat designed specifically to regulate ATEX Air Warmers and Heaters in explosive atmospheres. Fully certified to global safety standards (ATEX and IECEx), this specialized room thermostat provides local temperature regulation across hazardous industrial settings. It is ideally suited for Zone 1 or 2 (Gas) and Zone 21 or 22 (Dust) environments, such as paint mixing rooms, chemical plants, oil refineries, and offshore platforms.
The unit features a robust, lightweight cast aluminium alloy enclosure. This housing provides a dust-tight, weatherproof IP6X ingress protection rating to shield internal components from severe external pollution. Engineered for harsh environmental deployment, it functions with accuracy across an extreme ambient temperature range of -60°C to +60°C.
Designed to seamlessly control popular high-risk climate systems like the Fast Mover FAW1000 Paintroom Heater, the AFT40A is rated for 250V (16 Amp) configurations. It has a precise external dial adjustment mechanism to ensure fast manual control without compromising structural safety.
