This SKF bearing has tapered raceways and rollers specifically designed to handle radial and axial loads acting at the same time. Its raceways meet at a common point on the bearing's axis to provide a true rolling action and very low levels of friction. This reduces operational noise and allows the bearing to better maintain a pre-load. The unit's crowned raceway profile ensures even load distribution along the contact surfaces to reduce stress peaks at the roller ends. This also lowers the unit's sensitivity to misalignment and shaft deflection.

  • Optimised surface finish supports the formation of a hydrodynamic lubricant for lower frictional heat and flange wear
  • Excellent consistency of roller profiles and sizes for optimal load distribution
  • Reduced temperature peaks during running-in periods to lessen wear
  • Separable, single-row bearing for easier mounting, dismounting and inspection

Application Information

  • Rolling mills
  • Gearbox manufacturing
  • Mining industry
  • Hoisting and lifting equipment

Can you use this component in rigid bearing applications?

Yes, this bearing is suitable for rigid bearing applications. You can achieve this setup by adjusting this bearing against a second tapered roller bearing and applying a pre-load.
