This spherical roller bearing from SKF features an optimised design for increased load-carrying capacity. Its robust steel structure handles heavy loads effectively, whether radial or axial force is applied to it. The steel material is also corrosion-resistant and capable of standing up to high operating temperatures. The bearing's low levels of friction reduce wear on the unit to increase its efficiency and ensure a long service life. As it easily adjusts to shaft misalignment, it's suitable for use in applications where high vibration levels are expected.

  • Conveniently supplied ready to mount
  • Insensitive to contaminates for improved versatility in use
  • Simple re-greasing thanks three lubrication holes on the outer ring
  • Virtually eliminates edge stresses to reduce friction and force on nearby components
  • Efficient design that takes up minimal space for use in compact machine designs

Application Information

  • Gearbox manufacturing
  • Mining and minerals processing industry
  • Paper and pulp mills

When should I choose a spherical roller bearing over a ball bearing?

Spherical roller bearings have a larger contact surface between the bearing and the rail, whereas ball bearings have only one point of contact. This means that roller bearings can manage heavier loads than ball bearings as the increased surface area provides greater stability and strength.
