Constructed from durable steel, this labyrinth seal ensures effective operation and high-performance reliability. With a 170mm inside diameter and a centre height of 180mm, it effectively seals bearings and enables consistent performance in demanding environments.
Features & Benefits
- Labyrinth seal design ensures effective sealing under various conditions
- Mount hole size of 24mm allows for versatile installation options
- High-performance operation for reliable functioning in challenging situations
- Effective at maintaining cleanliness and reducing contaminants in bearing units
- Designed specifically for use with 23038 K bearing units
Applications
- Ideal for sealing in heavy-duty machinery
- Used for maintaining the integrity of bearing assemblies
- Suitable for automated systems requiring precise sealing solutions
- Essential for industrial environments with high contamination risks
How does the design of this seal contribute to its performance?
The labyrinth design provides a series of barriers against contaminants, ensuring that lubricants remain intact while preventing the ingress of dirt and moisture, which can compromise bearing performance.
What type of maintenance is required for optimal performance?
Regular inspections are recommended to ensure the seal is intact and free from wear. If installed in high-performance applications, periodic lubrication checks will help maintain its effectiveness.
Are there specific compatibility considerations when using this seal with bearing units?
Yes, it is specifically designed for use with the 23038 K bearing units, ensuring optimal performance and a correct fit to prevent operational failure.
Can this seal operate effectively in extreme temperatures?
The robust steel construction allows it to function effectively in a range of temperatures, but specific temperature limits should be adhered to ensure longevity and performance.
What load capacities can this seal handle?
While the seal itself does not carry load, it is used in applications supporting high loads, with housing capacities of up to 1900 kN, depending on the specific configurations used alongside it.
