Presidium Refractive Index Meter II (PRIM II) Gemstone Diamond Moissanite TesterThe Presidium Refractive Index (R.I) Meter II is a professional, compact tester for measuring the quantity of light refracted through Diamonds, Moissanites and other polished coloured gemstones.

This pocket-sized refractor measures a wide range of R.I values from 1,000 - 3,000, much more than an traditional refractometer and instantly displays the reading clearly on the digital LED screen. Provides a clean, simple and quick testing facility with no need for R.I liquid, used in traditional methods, plus it has the ability to separate diamonds, moissanites as well as other diamond stimulants such as high zircon, strontium titanite and other transparent gemstones with flat, polished surfaces.

This light weight, portable tester features;

• A pinhole-sized light reflectivity measure when placed on the oval platform
• A cover cup with blackout interior to ensure accurate results
• A protective cylinder (for the platform)
• In-built refractive chart for easy R.I reference readings for 55 stones (above 1.8 reading)
• A in-built 8 piece gemstone holder for convenience
• Download link for Presidium Software is supplied with this product. This software features a dictionary database of over 50 gemstones and their properties and possible origins, as well as a program that allows the user to enter known properties of gemstones such as; colour, S.G (specific gravity) value and hardness.
