Looking for a maintenance-free bearing unit for your food-processing machinery? Choose this pillow block bearing from SKF. The Y-bearing is made of stainless steel for durability and resistance to corrosion, so it's a reliable choice for use in humid environments. An innovative sealing system prevents contaminants from entering the workings, meaning it can withstand the constant cleaning needed in hygienic applications such as food and drink production.

  • Food-grade lubricant is safe for use in food production
  • Broad operating temperature range of -45°C to +150°C for use in demanding environments
  • Polyamide composite housing is highly durable and resistant to acids and oils

Applications

  • Brewing and distilling equipment
  • Bottling and food packing plants

What type of sealing does this bearing unit use?

As part of SKF's Food Line of Y-bearings, it uses the brand's signature multiple-seal system. The inner ring has a flinger that acts as a barrier to prevent contaminants from entering the bearing. Grease in the gap between the lip seals and an inner radial seal provides an additional layer of protection. This innovative sealing system allows the bearing to be washed down without interfering with its proper function.
