In everyday operation one unit will run for approximately 100 hours before automatically switching to the standby unit, which then becomes active for the next 100 hours. If the active unit signals a fault, the RBC-AC1 immediately activates the standby unit, illuminates fault indicators, and opens volt-free common fault contacts. A digital thermostat monitors room temperature; if it
rises above a pre-set level, both units will operate, the alarm will activate, and common fault contacts will engage until temperature returns to normal.
