The Makita DC18RD Dual Port Battery Charger 14.4V - 18V can perform and take longer to charge two Makita batteries simultaneously than it does a single battery. With Makita already having the battery that charges the fastest on the market, this means that you can now charge two batteries in the time it used to take you to charge one.
Additionally, this model has an electrical current limiter for overload protection, an LED charging display, a forced cooling system, and a sound alert when the battery is fully charged.
During a charge cycle, the DC18RD employs a CPU to connect with the battery's integrated memory chip; the battery chip analyses the data stored there to determine the optimal charging strategy at that moment. Longer battery life is the result of this cutting-edge technology.
