This spherical plain bearing from SKF enables self-correcting, multi-directional movement. It's a versatile solution where oscillation might result in misalignment. Spherical bearings are often preferred to roller bearings as they provide the necessary capacity for correcting misalignments. This one offers a dynamic load rating of 280 kN (kilonewtons) and a static load rating of 465 kN, equal to almost 63,000 lbf (pound-force). Secure triple-lip Seals give reliable dustproof and waterproof performance so you GET a longer, more dependable service life.

  • Dry lubrication for sliding contact means less lubricant is needed, reducing impact on environment
  • Bore size of 40mm and outside diameter of 62mm with steel construction for maximum strength
  • State-of-the-art design ensures high operational reliability

Applications

  • Agricultural industry
  • Turbines and wind energy production
  • Metals and mining operations

I need a versatile and forgiving bearing that'll minimise maintenance. Does this fit the bill?

  • Yes, this spherical bearing gives you the versatility you're looking for with little maintenance. It'll accommodate the deformation of surrounding components in operation, such as a shaft deflection, so when one part isn't perfect, the entire system doesn't break down. It also provides the kind of wide manufacturing tolerances that are sometimes found in less resource-intensive, welded assemblies.
